The center has its own personnel, and has been suited to the needs of disadvantaged people, including adapted offices, toilets and ramps to exhibit areas.
The exhibit area is divided into several rooms showing pictures and full-scale replicas of the rock paintings of the Cultural Park of the Martín river, which have been declared World Heritage. One room is dedicated to the general characteristics of the schematic rock art in eastern Spain and features an outstanding scale model of the territory. This allows visitors to analyze the orography of the Cultural Park and find the painted shelters. This room also hosts a full-scale reproduction of the painted shelter of La Higuera de Alcaine. Another space is dedicated to the evolution of mankind and features busts of hominids and a scale model of the evolution process.
The Center is equipped with a large library exclusively dedicated to rock painting and an auditorium where documentaries can be screened on request. It also has an accommodation facility intended for students and researchers carrying out research on the Cultural Park of the Martín river. |
